<p style="text-align: justify;">Julien Langendorff is an adept at DIY. He draws with a Bic biro, publishes his own collections of drawings and exhibits his work in the top places for contemporary graphic art. At the crossroads of fine arts and urban poetry, his work is peopled with characters dealing with apparently ordinary situations, in disturbing sur­roundings, with no guidelines, on the threshold of the fantastic. David “Yaya” Herman Dune, with his songs and his band, Herman Dune travels across the United States, the United Kingdom and Europe. When he’s not singing, David Herman Dune is designing drawing books, discs illustrations or exhibitions, peopled with recurrent characters: aliens, surfers, or the blue Bigfoot.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">« We worked for “Commune de Paris, 1871” as we usually do in our creative sessions, in an instinctive and evolutive way. We start with an atmosphere that turns into a series of possibilities that form a who­le, a harmonious colour, echoing stories... When “Commune de Paris, 1871” called on us with their theme, we looked for someone, a face, a word, an extreme situation. We found a man with a mousta­che, wearing a jacket, in raging flames, calling for help and warning people: «FIRE, FIRE» on Paris... You can smell something burning... moustache ends, and jacket buttons... »</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Julien Langendorff, est un adepte du DIY. Il dessine au stylo bic, auto-édite ses recueils de dessins et expose dans les meilleurs spots dédiés à la scène graphique contemporaine. Son travail - au carrefour des arts plastiques et d’une certaine forme de poésie urbaine - catapulte une galerie de personnages aux prises avec des situations en apparence anodines dans un environnement perturbant, sans repères, à la lisière du fantastique. David “Yaya” Herman Dune, avec ses chansons et son groupe Herman Dune, il voyage à travers les Etats-Unis, le Royaume-Uni et l’Europe. Lorsqu’il ne chante pas, David Herman Dune travaille à la réalisation de livres de dessins, d’illustrations de disques, ou encore d’expositions, qui convoquent des personnages récurrents: aliens, surfers, ou encore le blue Bigfoot.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">« Nous avons élaboré notre travail pour «Commune de Paris, 1871» d’une façon similaire à celle que nous avons de fonctionner en duo lors de nos séances de création, c’est-à-dire de manière à la fois instinctive et évolutive, autour d’une atmosphère de départ qui nous amène à un ensemble de déclinaisons formant un tout, une couleur, des histoires qui se répondent... Lorsque “Commune de Paris, 1871” et son thème se sont proposés à nous, nous cherchions quelqu’un, un visage, un mot, une situation extrême. Nous avons trouvé un moustachu, en veston, dans les flammes qui font rage, qui crie à l’aide et prévient les autres: «FIRE, FIRE» sur Paris... Cà sent le roussi, et les moustaches qui brûlent au bout, et les boutons du gilet qui s’échauffent...»</p>
